Thread: install to another drive, from current install
tldr; i'm running ubuntu on box, , want install ubuntu instance partition. can simple execute ubuntu-install (or whatever application called)?
have ubuntu 10.10 running on pc 2 hard drives.
sda1 = /
sda2 = raid component
sdb1 = nothing (same size sda1)
sdb2 = raid component
i'm running / sda1.
drive sda dying. clicking crazy, taking long time reads... failed on raid able use system.
data fine, need reinstall system on sdb1 , tomorrow add new disk raid.
can dying install i'm using?
mean, system stable. ext4 copying flawlessly. it's same if in live cd matter... there way install "installer" sits on desktop live cd?
i'm still searching, it's hard find factual information on ubuntu.. seems ever find step steps of basic tasks , common use cases... forums saves me always. anyway... far can't find name of executable install... asking here fear time short
think i've found answer
