Video transition not attaching to two AE clips. Any suggesions?

when drag video transitions (crossfade, example) onto 2 clips, finding not attaching clip or clips.  there no space between clips.  clips ae links files.  transitions work between other ae clips on timeline, , other times transition works on 1 ae clip.  plus, finding transitions not sticking stock footage either.  suggestions transition timeline?

CS6でファイルが開けません

Scrollability in divs or text boxes
