Thread: keyboard layout switcher missing

i installed xubuntu 11.04 on ibm thinkpad t30.

regularly need use 2 different keyboard layouts. added new layout through settings>keyboard>layout.

can find no way have:
1) easy way switching between layouts (ex. shortcut keys)
2) desktop indicator of active layout

suggestions?

@ least panel item switch method, keyboard shortcut apparently lost after reboot.
