Thread: default desktop environment

when log onto ubuntu, gdm remembers last desktop environment under sessions. there way make specific desktop environment default, no matter 1 i've used last time?

example, using fvwm, other people using same computer freak out whenever see different gnome (and i've set computer in such way doesn't need password, automatically bypasses gdm login screen on start up). there way make gnome default on start-up no matter whether i've used fvwm in previous session?

in advance.

system settings --> login screen
there can choose ever session want mean default .

best .
