Error linking articles in other articles - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi!
i had joomla 2.5 , maked new web in joomla 3.3.6 , tried migrate users , articles of old web. worked fine, having problem links in articles links articles in web.
i maked urls in links relatives, , joomla change path making link goes urls doesnt exist. explain that.
i have menu list category, , in category have article have crashed link. have menu articles, submenu wheels , article called black wheels (for example),and use url link other article:
index.php?option=com_content&view=article& id=279:cristales-azules&catid=63

and joomla change url in frontend, giving me other one:
/articles/wheels?id=279:cristales-azules&catid=63: preguntas-y-respuestas-apartado-color-del-coche

it adds menu , category (and not other article), , gives error because url doesnt link anything.

it´s curious because in other zone have same article, , because isnt in category tree, works correctly.

the question is.. how can avoid happen?

in joomla 3, there change have prefix article id links have updated. there's different ways reference links. 1 thing have hidden menu, category list, reference link article alias. depends on do, there options, need update links.

uppercase letters in url - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello all, i in process of migrating joomla 2.5 1.5. 1 of categories in 1.5 version had capital letters in name. in joomla 2.5, uppercase letters in article/menu/category alias automatically converted lowercase. i tried changing menu alias in database, caused 404 error in category-blog page. i have been trying many days find solution, reason being many of pages category in 1.5 site have lots of facebook likes don't want lose. does work-around exist allow me manually change category/menu alias category blog page , articles have category name uppercase letters? any appreciated. thanks! you can 301 redirect uppercase urls lowercase.
