Acrobat and Reader Conflicts

i have both adobe acrobat , adobe reader installed on computer.  while have read countless pdf documents using reader, new acrobat.  purchased create forms business. 

 

when attempt open acrobat, acrobat icon displays in upper left corner of workspace, expected tools on toolbar of missing--despite checking "view" menu sure appropriate selections have been made display.  when checked "about" (under "help" menu), software informs me reader running--not acrobat.

 

what's up?

do need unisntall reader?

is uninstalled/re-install problem acrobat?

please try making acrobat default program .pdf files. should fix issue you.
