Thread: unable to boot from CD or Floppy?

if above applies you-
somehow winxp doesn't allow enough time mbr read/load boot cd or floppy-
so-download 'bcdl', copy onto floppy rawrite, or rawrite windows, or dd in linux, put floppy drive. there bcdl image available burning onto cd if don't have floppy drive.
put favorite linux install.iso cd image cd drive.
power off computer.
turn computer on it's side display open can read it.
take off hard drive bay cover, , slide hard drive , away connector, keep in bay, , ready slide connector.
power on computer.
bcdl flopping boot "press key continue", while @ same time, cd drive begin load cd(cd drive light flickers)
cd drive light goes out(cd loaded), slide hard drive connector, gently lay pc flat on desk, press "enter"
computer boot cd image. continue install. remove floppy, after cd booting.

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi all, searched , saw nothing related it. did quickinstall of joomla 3.3.6. when goto site location in browser error in subject. server specs below. wrong in assuming should ok , if know of fix. php: 5.4.32 could double check php version? create (eg phpinfo.php) file on server containing code: select all <?php phpinfo(); and open file in browser (via eg www.example.com/phpinfo.php ) ? for safety reasons remove file server after double checking.
