Running Photoshop Elements (1) on Windows 8

i'm sure folks know older photoshop elements doesn't install on windows 8.  (i think it's version 1, no version given on package, , bought long time ago adobe store via friend @ adobe not  longer around.)  installer tells me needs @ least internet explorer 4.  although installed clean copy of windows 8 64, still have windows 7 32 installed, original elements in program files.  if run old executable, tells me can't find personal information, or something.

 

my question is:  there registry keys and/or files copy on windows 8 installation let me run old photoshop elements?

 

i tried copying hkey_local_machine\software\adobe\photoshop elements\1.0 registry key, didn't work.

 

basically, don't want buy software again, i'm light user, , happy old version, cost me same 11 upgrade.

2.5.28 to 3.4.1---Download of update package failed - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

went 2.3* whatever 2.5.28 same message.. had install via extension manager: install.. seemed work fine.. updated extensions , db.. tried run install again joomla! update module , download of update package failed message.. tried install extension manager: install. again , nothing.. don't seem have jommla_update.php file on server.. using godaddy plesk.. fun installed 3.4.1 on server using godaddy applications , worked fine.. i have seen server might out of space.. not issue here. permissions set correctly can tell. i new take easy on me.. any ideas? viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Migrating and Upgrading to Joomla! 3.x

hi all, searched , saw nothing related it. did quickinstall of joomla 3.3.6. when goto site location in browser error in subject. server specs below. wrong in assuming should ok , if know of fix. php: 5.4.32 could double check php version? create (eg phpinfo.php) file on server containing code: select all <?php phpinfo(); and open file in browser (via eg www.example.com/phpinfo.php ) ? for safety reasons remove file server after double checking.
