nik plugin problem - exports directly to folder - skips LR catalog :(

hello everybody

 

 

i have strange problem

 

while attempting edit photo in nik color efex pro 4 in lr4 - edits made , click "save" go lr

 

the "stack" indication in upper-left-hand corner increases 1 edited photo doesn't appear in library/grid view or filmstrip

 

however ( !! ) edited image appear in original folder on hard drive - of edits performed in nik

 

has heard of such thing??

 

does know how can stop happening??

 

 

 

i've called nik tech support - @ loss , said contact adobe tech support, think adobe/lightroom thing

 

i've restarted computer (win7)

 

i've uninstalled/reinstalled nik color efex pro 4

 

i don't want uninstall/reinstall lr - presets/copyright settings/etcetc.. :/

well.. benefit of same problem in future, "solved" this

 

apparently problem went away when put laptop on standby (sleep) , returned it

 

the problem didn't exist after that

sometimes can't modify screen brightness after sleeps , woken - perhaps related (?)

 

usually happens if close lid triggering sleep mode - if select sleep start menu, wait shut off, close lid - fine

 

anyway.. in case else finds themself in similar situation lr/nik , find topic......... try sleep/wake-up - hibernate/wake-up - sure not close lid before - if that's not working, sleep closing lid (heck, try everything) - try restarts - full shutdowns restart - etc etc
