Cannot copy and paste text into Photoshop CS6

i not able copy , paste text non-adobe programs (like keynote or word) photoshop cs6. error message reading "could not complete paste text command because clipboard data empty or invalid." have tried shutting down photoshop, shutting down other programs, re-starting computer, adjusting preferences , asking adobe phone , chat. on new imac , have no third party plug-ins installed. can help?

i have never tried before fired word , able paste text in. since button not greyed out in ps (you error message rather inability click paste button), , given error message, seems more clipboard problem ps problem. so, can paste adobe programs photoshop? , can paste no problem outside of photoshop? wish more helpful think have make sure photoshop problem.

hi i trying upgrade joomla 2.5.27 3.6. have checked requirements (i've upgraded site), purged cache , gone short term support, when click save & close told (as before) have latest joomla version - not offer me joomla 3.6 (or else). have suggestions please? thank you c you can download joomla 3.x update , install manually using joomla's extension installer. don't forget create backup before doing that.
